Luke Sherbon: 2016/2017 Biography & Statistics

Luke Sherbon re-signed for Aberystwyth for the 2016-17 season, becoming just one of four players retained by the Seasiders after a summer of change at Park Avenue.

He is an attacking midfielder or striker who is in his fourth spell at Aberystwyth Town, having re-joined in January 2014 from Penryhncoch, where he had a brief spell after returning to Wales from Australia.

Born in Birmingham, he moved to Aberystwyth as a youngster and after starting his senio career at Park Avenue, he twice left Aberystwyth to join Barry Town. He returned to Park Avenue in late 2004 and was a regular member of the first team squad until signing for Rhyl in January 2009. A Welsh semi-professional international, he left Belle Vue in August 2009 to return to Aberystwyth after winning the Welsh Premier League and playing in the Champions League qualifying round with the Lilywhites.

He then spent the following summer playing for Dandenong Thunder in Australia's Victoria Premier League and, after a few months back in the UK, made a permanent move Down Under in February 2011. He won the 2012 VPL Grand Final with Dandenong and then moved to rivals Bentleigh Greens.
