Daniel Sheehan: 2016/2017 Biography & Statistics

Defender Daniel Sheehan returned to the Old Gold in August 2015 after a spell with the Steelmen of Port Talbot Town. He made 29 (+1) appearances in the 2015/16 campaign, scoring one goal in the 1-0 win over Haverfordwest County in April 2016.

Previously, Sheehan had returned to Port Talbot Town in August 2013 after a spell playing in Australia.

He had left Port Talbot in January 2013 to add to the growing list of people who moved to Australia to play. He is a right-back who is playing with his third Welsh Premier League club, having first joined Port Talbot Town in the summer of 2012. The defender, who was born in Swansea impressed with neighbours Afan Lido, where he was an ever-present during the 2011/12 season. His form impressed the managers of the Welsh Premier League and he was also included in the shortlist for the League's Young Player of the Year Award.

Before joining Afan Lido, he played for Carmarthen Town in the 2010/11 season, following a short-spell at Salisbury City whom he joined following his release from Swansea City as a first-year professional in May 2010.
