Neath-born striker Mark Jones signed for The Old Gold from Aberystwyth Town in July 2015.During his first season at Richmond Park, Jones was the club's top scorer, netting 13 times from 29 (+3) league appearances.

The well-travelled striker had joined Aber from Afan Lido in January 2013. He was captain and top scorer of the Lido in the 2013/14 season with eight goals, before his switch to Park Avenue. He made his Aber debut on New Years Day at Newtown in 2013, scoring the only goal in a 3-1 defeat.

Mark was a product of the Afan Lido youth system before he spent time with the Cardiff City academy, before returning to Lido where he top scored in the club's Welsh League campaign.

He then joined Llanelli in September 2007 and won a Welsh Premier League Winners medal during their Championship winning season. He returned to Lido on loan a year later, rejoining the Reds in January 2009, but was released in the summer, moving to Port Talbot Town. He had trials during the summer 2007 with several league clubs in England including Millwall. He again returned to Afan Lido in October 2009 and was the top-scorer in their promotion campaign from the Welsh League to the WPL.

He returned on-loan to Aberystwyth in February 2017.
