Aeron Edwards: 2016/2017 Biography & Statistics

Aeron Edwards is a talented midfielder who joined TNS in June 2009 from Caersws, with whom he spent two seasons. The wide-player came through the Buckley Town youth set-up before following his former manager Dave Taylor to Caersws in 2007. He was virtually ever-present during his two seasons at the Recreation Ground and impressed for the League's strugglers. But despite this, his own performances earned him a call-up to the Wales Under-23 semi-professional squad. He was twice named on the bench in the Europa League against Fram Reykjavik, but didn't make it on for his debut. Instead, he had to wait until the second-half of the opening match of the League season to make his bow, when he came off the bench in the 5-0 win over Prestatyn at Park Hall. Aeron impressed enough for the Saints to warrant an International call-up for the Wales Semi Professional Under 23 team and he won his first cap against Poland at Richmond Park on 8th September 2009, starting in midfield. He also started the International Challenge Trophy game in Portadown against Northern Ireland in November 2009 to win his second cap.
