Declan Carroll: 2016/2017 Biography & Statistics

Declan Carroll left Town at the end of the 2016/17 season to rejoin Haverfordwest County.

The midfielder had re-joined Carmarthen Town in July 2016, to return to the club with whom he spent some of his youth team days. He played for the Old Gold's youth team when Tomi Morgan was in charge of the first team and he was picked for the senior squad in a couple of pre-season friendlies, but was put off by the travel and played locally with Tenby.

When Morgan returned to Aberystwyth Town, he convinced Carroll to trial with Seasiders and the midfielder agreed to travel and give it his best shot in the top-flight.

After a season with Aber, Carroll joined Haverfordwest County in September 2013. He played in the Welsh League Title-winning season of 2014/15 and played for the County in the Welsh Premier League in the 2015/16 season, making 19 (+9) appearances, scoring one goal in a 5-2 defeat at Bangor City.
